Flag and Bunting Store flags are double-sided. They are printed onto the front of the flag so a perfect mirror image appears on the reverse.

Sleeve flags don't have eyelets; instead, they have a narrow sleeve on the fly (left-hand) side into which a pole or stick can be inserted (pole or stick not supplied). Sleeved flags can also be pinned to a wall or board.

Eyelet flags have 2 metal rings on the fly (left-hand) side for attaching to a flag pole or displaying on a length of rope or wire. They can also be pinned to a wall or board.

Flag and Bunting Store flags are suitable for outdoor use, e.g. flying on a flag pole, as they are made from lightweight yet durable fabric, with vibrant, fade-resistant colours. 

In very extreme weather, you should take any flag down to reduce wear and extend its life.

Tip - we don't recommend flying an 8x5 ft permanently on a flag pole because of the volume of material.

Yes, our flags are perfect for displaying indoors, as they are lightweight and suitable for pinning to walls or boards, or hanging on a line (by running a cord or wire through the two metal eyelets). The flags are perfect for school assembly halls, churches and exhibition spaces.

A display flag is intended for a wall,
flagpole or larger presentation. A hand flag is smaller and supplied for waving at events; check each product's dimensions and fittings.

Choose a Flag and Bunting Store 3ft × 2ft flag when a 5ft × 3ft flag would be too large for the space, or when you are displaying a large number of flags from around the world and space is limited. 3 ft × 2 ft flags are perfect for smaller flagpoles and can be hung using the two metal eyelets.

An 18 × 12-inch or 3ft × 2ft flag can suit a
smaller room and looks great pinned to the wall.

For a larger venue, choose a 5ft × 3ft flag or an 8ft x 5ft flag (8ft x 5ft flags are available in all our most popular countries and designs). 

Allow space for the flag to hang or fly without touching nearby objects. 

Flag dimensions are normally given as width along the top edge by height. Convert the listed feet or inches to centimetres if needed and measure the place where it will hang. 

To attach a flag with metal eyelets (grommets) to a flagpole or building-mounted pole, either:

1. Tie each end of your halyard (rope) to the flag using the metal eyelets on the fly side of the flag
2. Use rotating mounting rings or carabiner clips, if you have them
3. Or (for a quick and easy option) cable tie the flag to your pole through the metal eyelets

Inspect the attachments, avoid snagging and bring the flag in during severe wind or weather.

Measure the route you want to decorate,
then allow extra length for draping, corners and fixing points. Our national flag bunting comes in 6 metre and 9 metre lengths that can be easily tied together. 

Fix your bunting securely to suitable points using the tie lengths on each end, and allow enough drape for the look you want. For outdoor use, keep it away from traffic, power lines and places where it could snag. Always hang out of reach of children.

Bunting is suitable for indoor and outdoor use; however, it will deteriorate in high winds (we recommend taking it down ahead of bad weather).

Several lengths can be tied or fastened together for a longer display, using the tie lengths provided at each end of the bunting.

Standard delivery takes 4-6 working days and is sent by Royal Mail Tracked 48. 

Next Working Day Delivery costs £7.50 and is a tracked service sent by DPD.

Saturday delivery costs £15. Orders need to be placed before 2 pm Friday.
